The IT Business Analyst - Quality Assurance role involves formulating and defining system scope, performing QA activities, and acting as a bridge between business needs and technical capabilities. Responsibilities Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs Performs requirements analysis Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions Documents requirements, evaluates scenarios, and executes changes needed to respond to requirements Conducts meetings and presentations to share and review ideas and findings Creates and updates system documentation Drives testing Responsible for performing any aspect of Quality Assurance including Software Quality Assurance, QA program Implementation, Testing, Verification, and Validation Identifies test scenarios, test scripts, and defines Acceptance Criteria for use in test cycles Write appropriate test scenarios, test scripts, and analyze test results Summarizes and communicates testing outcomes in meaningful ways Accurately report defects found during testing Report, track, and determine priority of reported bugs Acts as liaison among clients, operations, and technical staff Communicate and collaborate with other testers, team members and other technical teams Develop and maintain test plans, manual and automated test scripts (as required) for functional, interface and user acceptance testing Execute regression tests, functional tests, and data tests Facilitate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Perform various types of testing including functional, system integration, regression and User Acceptance Assist with testing and support activities related to the implementation Provide feedback on usability Skills Must reside near one of the specified office locations: Boise, ID; Centennial, CO; Lincoln, NE; Sidney, NE; Madison, WI Must complete United States Government security clearance Must be a United States citizen Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs Experience in performing requirements analysis Ability to ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements Experience in evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions Experience in documenting requirements, evaluating scenarios, and executing changes needed to respond to requirements Experience in conducting meetings and presentations to share and review ideas and findings Experience in creating and updating system documentation Experience in driving testing Experience in performing any aspect of Quality Assurance including Software Quality Assurance, QA program Implementation, Testing, Verification, and Validation Ability to identify test scenarios, test scripts, and define Acceptance Criteria for use in test cycles Experience in writing appropriate test scenarios, test scripts, and analyzing test results Ability to summarize and communicate testing outcomes in meaningful ways Experience in accurately reporting defects found during testing Experience in reporting, tracking, and determining priority of reported bugs Ability to act as liaison among clients, operations, and technical staff Ability to communicate and collaborate with other testers, team members, and other technical teams Experience in developing and maintaining test plans, manual and automated test scripts (as required) for functional, interface, and user acceptance testing Experience in executing regression tests, functional tests, and data tests Experience in facilitating and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Experience in performing various types of testing including functional, system integration, regression, and User Acceptance Experience in assisting with testing and support activities related to the implementation Ability to provide feedback on usability Benefits Medical Dental Vision HSA and FSA Generous earned time off 401K/student loan repayment Life insurance & AD&D insurance Employee assistance program Employee stock purchase program Tuition reimbursement Performance-based incentive pay Short- and long-term disability Robust wellness program Company Overview Nelnet provides business, communications, and financial services.
