About the Role The Remote Video Operator is responsible for providing technical engineering support for a wide range of events, including live broadcasts and remote productions. This involves operating and maintaining video equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with the production team to ensure successful event execution. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain video equipment, including cameras, switchers, and transmission systems Adjust video levels, black/white balance, and color balance between cameras to ensure optimal video quality Troubleshoot technical issues, including camera, cabling, lens, and other equipment problems Manage and organize remote compound video, fiber link, and source lists Develop and implement workflows with the help of Operations and Production partners Set up, operate, and tear down video equipment on location as needed Monitor and adjust signals and screens as required Collaborate with the production team to ensure successful event execution Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: At least 2 years of practical experience in remote production operations at the network level in a Video role Strong knowledge of the functions and operations of live production equipment Ability to read and operate a waveform/vectorscope (formats - SDI and IP, HD, UHD, and HDR) Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills using technical judgment and solid technical tools Flexibility to travel and work on weekends and events as schedule and show needs require Preferred Qualifications To stand out from the competition, you will ideally have: Strong knowledge of broadcast equipment and remote production show needs Experience with fiber optic systems and cabling What We Offer As a Remote Video Operator with Disney, you will enjoy a competitive salary of $25-$35 per hour, as well as the opportunity to work with a world-renowned brand and be part of a dynamic and talented team.
