Virtual Family Medicine Physician – Telehealth Role (Part-Time/Full-Time)

What You’ll Do: • Provide virtual urgent care to patients of all ages — newborns to adults • Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic conditions (e.g. colds, rashes, UTIs, sore throats, COVID, diabetes, hypertension, depression, anxiety) • Conduct 15-minute video visits using our EMR system (Athena) • Prescribe medications, order labs (via LabCorp or Quest), and offer wellness counseling • Refer patients to appropriate care when needed • Physicians will provide clinical supervision and oversight of Nurse Practitioners, including chart review, peer collaboration, performance review and support in accordance with state-specific regulations. What We’re Looking For: • Completion of a 3-year Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Pediatric, or Emergency Medicine residency • Active ABMS or AOA Board Certification in Family Medicine or dual boarded Internal Medicine + Pediatrics • 3+ years post residency experience in a fast paced Urgent Care or Primary Care outpatient setting • Active and unrestricted state medical license • Experience and comfort providing care for all ages, newborn to adult populations • Must maintain Medicare active status DirectShifts is an Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
