Job Summary As a Senior Software Engineer on our Customer360 Team, you'll play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing a Salesforce application that provides a 360-degree view of our customers and their Southwest journey. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the technical roadmap and feature roadmap of large-scale cloud structures, mentor junior software engineers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technology landscape. Key Responsibilities Drive the technical roadmap and feature roadmap of large-scale cloud structures, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Serve as a technical lead, contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external stakeholders. Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. Collaborate with product managers and customers to define feature requirements and ensure that solutions meet business needs. Develop, test, document, and implement functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-secured application systems according to customer requirements, organizational methodologies, and standards. Evaluate code to ensure that it's valid, well-structured, meets industry standards, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems. Mentor Software Engineers to enable skill/knowledge development through guidance, coaching, and training opportunities. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our technology landscape. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced-level experience and professional, specialized knowledge in software development and methodologies. Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, concepts, and technologies acquired through formal education and/or work experience. Proactive sharing of knowledge and skills in software development and testing to resolve various issues. Excellent partnering, communication, negotiation skills, and execution in working with diverse Technology or partner Teams. Ability to articulate (verbally / visually) ideas, approaches, concepts, options, risks, impacts, and present guidance to technical, non-technical, and Leadership audiences. Experience with Salesforce development, including Lightning Web Components, Apex development, and Service Cloud. Experience with Salesforce API integration for applications living on various platforms. Experience with DevOps tools, including GIT and SalesforceDX. Preferred Qualifications To take your application to the next level, you'll ideally have: Previous Java experience. Experience with Community Cloud.
