As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing virtualization infrastructure and services that meet the evolving needs of our business. Your expertise will play a critical role in shaping the future of our infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems, and driving business growth through innovative solutions. **Key Responsibilities** As a Virtualization Engineer, you'll be responsible for the following key duties and responsibilities: * **Design, Documentation, Implementation, and Delivery of Virtual Infrastructure (30%):** You'll design, document, implement, and deliver virtual infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our business, including capacity, performance, availability, automated provisioning, and event management. * **Collaboration with Technology Teams (20%):** You'll work closely with various technology teams to provide technical expertise, guide the utilization or integration of virtualization products and infrastructure, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. * **Contribution to Engineering Priorities (20%):** You'll contribute to deliverables for engineering priorities as defined in the engineering roadmaps, support the management of pilot or POC initiatives, and drive business growth through innovative solutions. * **Active Participation in Engineering Forums (5%):** You'll actively participate in engineering forums, new technology meetings, and steering committees to stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and best practices. * **Research and Evaluation of Technology (10%):** You'll research and evaluate technology for appropriateness, implement upgrade or migration strategies, and ensure that our infrastructure remains cutting-edge and competitive. * **Technical and Business-Related Discussions (5%):** You'll contribute to technical and business-related discussions with stakeholders from various parts of the business, use information gathered to develop and maintain an environment that addresses the business's needs using infrastructure solutions, and drive business growth through innovative solutions. * **Other Duties as Assigned (10%):** You'll be responsible for other duties as assigned by management, including but not limited to, special projects, process improvements, and training initiatives. **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications: * **Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field:** You'll have a strong foundation in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with a focus on virtualization, cloud computing, and infrastructure design. * **5+ Years of Experience in Virtualization and Cloud Infrastructure:** You'll have at least 5 years of experience in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and delivering complex infrastructure solutions. * **Strong Technical Skills:** You'll have strong technical skills in virtualization platforms, cloud computing, and infrastructure design, including but not limited to, VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure. * **Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills:** You'll have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and management. * **Strong Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:** You'll have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: * **Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field:** You'll have a Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, with a focus on virtualization, cloud computing, and infrastructure design. * **Certifications in Virtualization and Cloud Infrastructure:** You'll have certifications in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, including but not limited to, VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and Microsoft Azure Certified Solutions Architect. * **Experience with Agile Methodologies:** You'll have experience with Agile methodologies, including but not limited to, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean. * **Experience with Cloud Security and Compliance:** You'll have experience with cloud security and compliance, including but not limited to, AWS Well-Architected Framework, Microsoft Azure Security and Compliance, and VMware Cloud Security. **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: * **Cloud Computing:** You'll have a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including but not limited to, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and serverless computing. * **Virtualization:** You'll have a strong understanding of virtualization concepts, including but not limited to, VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, and KVM. * **Infrastructure Design:** You'll have a strong understanding of infrastructure design principles, including but not limited to, scalability, availability, and performance. * **Agile Methodologies:** You'll have experience with Agile methodologies, including but not limited to, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean. * **Cloud Security and Compliance:** You'll have experience with cloud security and compliance, including but not limited to, AWS Well-Architected Framework, Microsoft Azure Security and Compliance, and VMware Cloud Security. *
