Sales Engineer I (Entry Level)
Communication Technology Services (CTS) is one of the largest integrators and managed service providers for enterprise cellular networks in the U.S. They are seeking a motivated (Entry Level) Sales Engineer I to support their wireless solutions team, focusing on the design and delivery of in-building wireless infrastructure. This role provides hands-on exposure to real-world wireless systems and requires collaboration with engineers and sales professionals. Responsibilities Assist in evaluating customer requirements and supporting technical discovery Support preliminary RF and wireless design activities, including coverage considerations and signal distribution concepts Review floor plans, construction drawings, and layouts to identify factors impacting propagation and system performance Assist with documentation, diagrams, and proposal materials Participate in site visits, surveys, and measurement activities Coordinate with engineering teams to validate technical feasibility Support technical presentations and solution discussions Assist in responding to customer questions and requests for information Assist in creating Scope of Work (SoW) documentation, quotes, and final proposals Contribute to RFP/RFQ responses and proposal preparation Help communicate technical concepts in clear, business-friendly language Use CAD tools to review or produce basic technical layouts and markups Utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting and presentations Organize technical data using spreadsheets and charts Support development of visual summaries, performance comparisons, and solution documentation Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Networking, or related technical field Foundational understanding of engineering principles and interest in wireless communications Exposure to concepts such as RF propagation, antennas, frequency bands, or wireless networking through coursework or projects Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD or similar) Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Ability to analyze and present technical information using basic data visualization or charting techniques Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Ability to interpret technical diagrams and floor plans Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits Coursework or project work involving RF, cellular, or Wi-Fi systems Exposure to signal strength, interference, or spectrum fundamentals Internship or lab experience related to telecom, networking, or engineering Familiarity with visualization, reporting, or technical presentation tools Benefits Medical Dental FSA 401(k) LTD/STD Life Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Company Overview CTS provides custom, carrier-grade, in-building and campus connectivity solutions for enterprises and mobile network operators, solving and managing the most complex networking challenges.
