King's Insurance Staffing is seeking a Senior Middle Market Production Underwriter to join an A+ rated insurance carrier's growing team. The role involves marketing, underwriting, and pricing Middle Market Commercial accounts while developing strong agency relationships and managing a portfolio to drive profitable growth.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Market, underwrite, and price new Middle Market Commercial business in accordance with underwriting guidelines and authority
ā¢ Analyze risk exposures, coverage needs, pricing, and terms to ensure profitable underwriting decisions
ā¢ Develop, evaluate, and interpret financial, operational, and loss history information to assess account acceptability
ā¢ Work closely with producers to solicit new business, manage renewals, and strengthen agency relationships
ā¢ Conduct regular agency visits to support business development, retention, and portfolio growth
ā¢ Manage an assigned book of business while achieving production, retention, and loss ratio targets
ā¢ Monitor market conditions and competitive trends to identify new opportunities and maintain underwriting discipline
Skills
ā¢ 3 - 10+ years of experience underwriting Middle Market Commercial insurance
ā¢ Strong knowledge of commercial coverages, pricing, and risk evaluation
ā¢ Proven ability to manage a profitable book of business and work collaboratively with producers
ā¢ Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree preferred
