Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Hedgesville, WV
A registered nurse with Med/Tele experience is sought for a contract role offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment in Hedgesville, WV. This position supports patient care focused on telemetry monitoring and general medical nursing duties, providing a rewarding clinical experience on 12-hour shifts without on-call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care including wound management, catheter care, orthopedic support, and continuous patient assessments
• Utilize essential medical equipment consistent with unit standards and protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to monitor and respond to telemetry data for patient safety
• Maintain accurate documentation through EPIC electronic health records system
• Provide flexible coverage by floating to other units or the telemetry department as needed
Desired Qualifications:
• Current RN licensure in West Virginia or a compact state
• BLS certification required
• Previous experience in telemetry and medical-surgical nursing
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• Valid driver’s license and residence located outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
