Job description: Professional Programmer- C (Remote)
TalentoHCM is partnered with a $1b+ revenue organization with 10,000+ employees that provides public sector technology and back-office solutions enabling $800b+ in healthcare spend. They are looking to add a remote professional programmer- C to their organization for a long-term assignment.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents moderately complex programs. Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
ā¢ Programs systems to meet complex business needs. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery.
ā¢ Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.
ā¢ Assists support and/or project personnel in resolving moderately complex program problems. ā¢ Works with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility. Provides technical advice on complex programming.
ā¢ Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
ā¢ Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.
ā¢ Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
ā¢ Remains abreast of industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.
Experience
ā¢ Minimum of 3-4 years C Coding Experience
ā¢ Minimum of 3-4 years working with Unix, Linux
ā¢ Minimum of 3-4 years working with SQL and Schell Script
ā¢ Experience in one or more of the following areas; Eligibility, Claims, Provider
ā¢ Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field preferred
ā¢ Six or more years of programming or testing experience
ā¢ Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software
ā¢ Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software
ā¢ Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
ā¢ Analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs
ā¢ Ability to work as part of team and independently
ā¢ Interpersonal skills to interact with team members
ā¢ Communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel, and clients
ā¢ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
ā¢ Experience in Batch report generation is desired
Pay Rate Range: $49.00-$50.00 per hour
