About the Role Join the front lines of the future of customer communication! We’re looking for a skilled, empathetic, and sales-savvy Customer Service Representative (CSR) to work in tandem with Avoca’s cutting-edge AI agents. You’ll be stepping in when human touch is critical—handling high ticket calls, complex customer needs, and opportunities for consultative selling. In this hybrid role, you’ll blend customer service, sales, and a bit of prompt engineering to optimize the way humans and AI work together. Experience in Home Services is highly preferred. CSR’s at home service companies are very encouraged to apply for the opportunity to work in a remote environment for great compensation. This is a remote contractor role that requires either a Saturday or Sunday shift each week. What You’ll Do • Handle escalated or complex calls passed from AI agents (e.g., high-ticket sales inquiries, warranty issues, consultative feedback) • Provide empathetic, knowledgeable support for home service businesses (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) • Use your sales instincts to turn inbound inquiries into booked appointments, upsells, or long-term customer relationships • Collaborate with AI workflows—refining prompt responses, identifying escalation triggers, and helping train/improve the system • Accurately document call outcomes, feedback, and customer details in CRMs or booking platforms (like ServiceTitan) • Participate in regular coaching and performance feedback via Avoca Coach or similar tools You Might Be a Fit If You: • Have experience taking calls for Home Service Companies (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Pest Control, Landscaping, etc…) • Are confident on the phone, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Are comfortable working alongside AI, and even curious about how it works • Have basic experience with prompt engineering or are excited to learn—bonus if you’ve worked with GPT-based tools! • Thrive in a remote, collaborative team with a fast feedback loop • Can balance empathy and efficiency in high-pressure situations Nice-to-Haves • Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or field service customer support • Familiarity with ServiceTitan or other service industry CRM • Prior work with AI-driven platforms or support tools Why Join Us? • Be part of an innovative YC back startup changing the way customer service is delivered • Help shape the future of Human-AI collaboration • Work from anywhere with a supportive, mission-driven team • Get hands-on experience with some of the most exciting tech in the service industry Sound like you?
