Job Description:
Join the Amazon team as a Package Sorter and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring that orders are accurately sorted, packed, and shipped to meet the high standards of Amazon's fast-paced and dynamic environment.
In this role, you will work in a state-of-the-art fulfillment center, collaborating with a diverse team to receive and process inventory, prepare customer orders, and load boxes for shipment. Your attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and commitment to quality will be essential in ensuring that products meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and put away inventory in an efficient and organized manner
Accurately select, pack, and ship customer orders, including those for our super-fast (2-hour or less) delivery service
Utilize scanners to read bar codes on products and follow on-screen prompts to complete tasks
Troubleshoot problems and ensure that products meet quality requirements
Operate power industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet drivers, and work at heights up to 35 feet (equipment training and certification provided)
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 49 pounds and push utility carts up to 60 pounds
Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
