The Insurance Follow-Up Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial viability of MultiCare by managing the billing and reimbursement processes for patient accounts. The Insurance Follow-Up Specialist serves as a vital communication link between MultiCare, patients, insurance companies, and departmental staff, performing complex implementation, analysis, and resolution tasks. In this role, the specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all accounts are properly billed and reimbursed, which is essential for the financial health of the organization. Responsibilities
• Contact insurance companies to secure and expedite payments.

Requirements
• Two years post high school education or AA degree preferred.

• Related health care or insurance industry experience.

• Knowledge of Federal and State billing requirements preferred.

• Minimum two (2) years patient accounting experience preferred.
,
• May substitute bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration for experience.
