They are seeking a Visual Designer who is passionate about design, capable of creating brand identities, and excited to work across a diverse range of clients and projects.ResponsibilitiesBuild and extend brand identities across digital and printDevelop visual systems that hold up across websites, social, paid media, pitch decks, and beyondConcept and design responsive websites and landing pages with a strong UX sensibilityCreate high-fidelity prototypes and collaborate directly with developersContribute original creative ideas for digital ad campaigns, social content, and integrated marketing effortsPartner with strategists, copywriters, and the studio team to take concepts from napkin sketch to polished executionWork alongside the studio team to ensure the visual direction translates beautifully into motion and videoEmbrace AI as part of the creative workflow and push boundaries with itSkillsBachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent portfolio and experience)1–2+ years of professional design experience, preferably with some agency exposureProficiency in Figma (our primary tool for digital) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Strong portfolio showing range across web design, brand identity, and digital marketing collateralSolid understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and interaction patternsExcellent communication skills — you can present and defend your design decisionsFamiliarity with HTML/CSS and how designs translate to development is a plusMotion design or animation skills are a plus but not required — you'll have a studio team for thatBenefitsHealth benefitsSimple IRAHybrid flexibility — work from our Portsmouth HQ or remote, your callUnlimited VacationA team that actually likes working togetherReal mentorship and growth path — we’re specifically looking to develop talent, not just fill a seatCompany OverviewVital Design is a marketing and advertising company offering web design, inbound, and digital marketing services.
