Mutual of Omaha has an immediate full-time opening on our Group Insurance Finance team for a Senior Finance Analyst specializing in tax and compliance accounting and reporting. This role owns the timely and accurate delivery of tax and compliance reporting for group worksite products while proactively identifying risks, driving efficiencies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU: Estimated Salary: $80,000-$90,000, plus annual bonus opportunity. 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Own and lead end-to-end FICA tax processes for worksite disability policyholders, including analysis, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement. Coordinate the preparation, review, and analysis of quarterly and annual federal tax filings. Support worksite Form 5500 compliance reporting and related regulatory requirements. Develop, analyze, and interpret key metrics to assess performance, identify trends, and drive improvements across tax and compliance functions. Lead, document, and execute projects focused on efficiency, accuracy, and risk mitigation. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are understood, met, and communicated effectively. WHAT YOU’LL BRING: Strong knowledge of finance and/or accounting practices, preferably within an insurance or regulated financial services environment. Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and implement practical, sustainable solutions. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and professional judgment skills. Ability to manage competing priorities, establish deadlines, and deliver high-quality results with minimal oversight. Comfort operating in ambiguity and influencing outcomes with peers and business partners. Commitment to continuous learning, curiosity, and professional growth. Demonstrated support for diversity, inclusion, and collaborative decision-making. Willingness and ability to travel to Omaha quarterly for meetings and other business-related activities. Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico. PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred).
