We're now seeking an exceptional Ship Investigation Manager to join our remote team, based on our vessels at sea, to drive our security criminal investigation operations forward. The Role: Ship Investigation Manager As our Ship Investigation Manager, you will be the linchpin in our security operations, ensuring that all investigations are conducted with the utmost professionalism and in compliance with our stringent policies and procedures. You'll be reporting to the Company Security Officer and will be a key member of our security team, playing a pivotal role in maintaining the safety and security of our at-sea environment. Key Responsibilities: Leading Investigations: Conduct and control all shipboard criminal investigations, preparing comprehensive reports and ensuring compliance with the Ship Security Plan and Disney Cruise Line policies. Evidence Management: Oversee the gathering, securing, disposal, and documentation of evidence, ensuring the integrity of the investigation process. Intelligence Gathering: Proactively develop actionable intelligence regarding guest and crew behavior, interfacing with other ship departments to share insights. Liaison with Law Enforcement: Cooperate with shore-side law enforcement and security agencies, ensuring a seamless investigation process. Training and Mentoring: Train the security team on investigations, crime scene preservation, and evidence handling, fostering personal and professional growth among team members. Policy Development: Review and develop security investigations policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective. Interviews and Reporting: Conduct and document investigation-related interviews, preparing detailed reports on findings. Accident Investigations: Assist with non-criminal accident/injury investigations as needed. Team Leadership: Provide professional and social guidance to subordinates through exemplary personal behavior. Essential Qualifications: A minimum of 10 years of Law Enforcement/Military investigative experience. Skilled in creating Criminal Investigation Timelines and demonstrated intelligence gathering techniques. Excellent report writing and court/legal case management skills. Proficient in interview techniques and video analytics. Strong interpersonal skills and team building abilities. Experience with multiple reporting systems. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a maritime or cruise industry setting. Knowledge of U.S. Public Health requirements and guidelines, as well as environmental regulations. Certifications or training in security investigations, crime scene management, or a related field. Adhere to a structured lifestyle, both personally and professionally. Hold a valid passport and be eligible for a C1/D Seaman's visa. Complete a pre-employment medical, obtain a criminal background check, and undergo drug/alcohol testing.
