The Airbnb for Real Estate Team focuses on building products and services for the world of apartment buildings - a significant growth opportunity for Airbnb . We design tools for building owners and operators to help them enable and monitor Airbnb stays. We help onboard apartment listings into the Airbnb marketplace. And, we help connect renters with Airbnb-friendly buildings. We are a small but agile team within the Airbnb community.
We are looking for an experience designer to join our team. You will work within our product organization with product management and engineering colleagues. Youll work alongside other experience designers and report to our teams head of design.
The difference you will make
As an experience designer, you will lead design across different areas of our product suite. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you will help envision new tools, services, and product features. Your work may focus on building managers who depend on our products to manage and monitor Airbnb activity in their properties. You may also focus on customers who use our marketplace to find a new place to live. As part of our team, your goal will be to make it easy to host in apartment buildings.
A typical day
Lead UX initiatives - identify, define and shape product improvements across desktop and mobile surfaces
Design iteratively - from conceptual design to detailed design, presenting work, and hosting regular reviews with product colleagues
Lead design research initiatives to understand user needs, identify opportunities, evaluate concepts, and test usability
Work closely with product management, data science, marketing, and sales to define business opportunities and product strategy
Work closely with engineering to determine feasibility and ensure design fidelity
Regularly analyze UX patterns and themes in other products, to help inspire design
Your expertise
5+ years experience as a digital product designer - in-house or agency
Experience designing digital/software products from concept to market launch
Experience launching MVP solutions quickly, evaluating user data, and iterating through design improvements
Experience working in a collaborative, team environment
Process driven, with a reliable and consistent approach, plus the ability to set clear expectations with stakeholders
Excellent time management skills, communication skills, and attention to detail
Expert skill in design software (Figma preferred)
Experience with product/project management software (Asana preferred)
Knowledge of software development and web technologies

The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
