Global BioPharma- Director of Medical Writing- Oncology
An industry-leading global biopharma is looking for a new Director of Medical Writing to lead the medical writing teams for multiple programmes. This company has multiple exciting products in development in Oncology, so this is an exciting opportunity to join a stable environment with huge growth potential!
In this role, you will use your in-depth understanding of medical writing and FDA regulation, as well as your excellent communication skills to guide medical writing for a variety of Oncology products. You will work with both external and internal teams cross functionally to ensure goals and timelines are met with regards to medical writing strategy. While this is not a people management position, there will be a degree of leadership and coaching involved with other more junior medical writers
To succeed in the role, you will need:
ā¢ Bachelor's or advanced degree in science or related area with significant experience in medical writing in pharma; Oncology experience is desirable.
ā¢ Experience writing/reviewing/editing multiple types of clinical and regulatory documents including for submissions (e.g., study level, program level, health authority responses, marketing applications)
ā¢ Experience managing the medical writing activities for multiple original and supplemental licensing applications (NDA, BLA, MAA, CTD) or equivalent submissions (IND, End of Phase 2)
ā¢ Experience translating strategy into operational goals, vendor management, and resource allocation.
ā¢ Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively in large or small group settings and work effectively with remote, global teams. Expert influence and relationship management skills required. Experience building internal/ external networks, effectively communicating with cross functional stakeholders, and contributing as thought leader in own area.
ā¢ Experience leading teams with direct or indirect reporting
ā¢ Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role
