The Boeing Company is seeking an Engineering Technical Specialist to join their team in Seattle, WA. The role involves developing solutions for engineering processes and standards, maintaining authoritative data, and ensuring that changes deliver real value to end users.ResponsibilitiesContributes to the development, documentation, implementation and consultation for the application of engineering tools, processes and standardsAssists with training in the utilization of processes and tools and supports the integration of engineering designsAssists in the identification and validation of user access roles and tip sheetsSupports the development and implementation of standardsAssists in providing configuration management, coordinating changes and performing assessments of complianceAssists in the development, maintenance and distribution of engineering documents, reports and correspondence to enable business activityMaintains robust datasets, data models, semantic layers, and dimensional models to support reporting and analyticsPartner with stakeholders to prioritize requests, communicate trade-offs, and influence reporting strategyWorks under general supervisionSkillsTo meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee1+ years of experience with Common Metrology Information System (CMIS)Experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systemsExperience with Microsoft ExcelLevel 2: 1+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalentExperience using Management Information Systems (MIS)Experience with Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON)Familiarity with data architecture, and data warehouse conceptsGood stakeholder management and communication skillsComfortable working in cross-functional teams and delivering projects on schedulePrior experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a regulated industryBenefitsHealth insuranceFlexible spending accountsHealth savings accountsRetirement savings plansLife and disability insurance programsPrograms that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from workCompany OverviewBoeing offers commercial, defense airplanes, space, security systems, and global services.
