Fastenal is hiring for Customer Order Fulfillment Specialist

Shift: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Up to 28 hours/week)

Overview:

The role of a Customer Order Fulfillment Specialist entails engaging in different activities aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the customer's supply chain operations at their premises. This entry-level position provides an excellent platform to develop a strong foundation in managing customer relations and operational logistics. Once you have completed the onboarding process, training, and performance evaluation successfully, you may have the opportunity for flexible working hours.

Responsibilities:
• Attend to customer requests and facilitate the coordination of necessary materials.
• Regulate and oversee inventory accuracy by implementing efficient control measures to uphold precise inventory levels.
• Manage the fulfillment of customer orders for products or services.
• Oversee the logistics of receiving and sending out stock items.
• Handle inventory fulfillment operations at the customer facility.
• Share pricing specifics for products, whether they are newly launched or already in the market.
• Participate in ongoing improvement programs focused on enhancing business processes.
• Communicate the tangible benefits of supply chain services to the customer to showcase their value.

Required Qualifications:
• The minimum age requirement for participation is 18 years.
• Studying Supply Chain/Operations Management or having relevant industry know-how, particularly within the local market.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Skilled in primary computer applications.
• Solid math skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to timeliness are important.
• Motivated by personal drive, able to work independently, and committed to customer satisfaction.
• Comfortable operating within a sales-centric atmosphere.

• Competence in raising, gliding, transferring, and dropping packages with a weight spectrum of 25-50 lbs (up to 75 lbs).
• It is essential to clear a mandated drug test (pertains to the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Guam).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Possession of a valid driver's license from the country in which the job is located is essential.
• Accomplishing the necessary steps in a graduated licensing system to reach completion.
• There is a strong desire among Fastenal staff to excel and progress in their careers within the company.
