Associate X-Force Incident Response Intern

IBM Consulting seeks an Associate X-Force Incident Response Intern for summer 2026 to join a global elite cyber incident response team. Your Role Key responsibilities include: • Participate in threat hunting and forensic investigations within IBM Security’s X-Force Incident Response (IR) team. • Engage in global cyber incident response and cyber crisis management. • Collaborate with Fortune 1000 clients to minimize revenue loss from security incidents. • Leverage IBM’s global expertise and delivery network across 170+ countries. • Work in a fast-paced, hybrid environment based in Austin, TX. About You What you'll need: • Currently pursuing a university degree with a strong academic record. • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and relationship building in an agile environment. • Initiative and passion for continuous learning and growth mindset. • Preferred: Programming skills and knowledge or experience in Incident Response, Digital Forensics, Tabletop Exercises, Threat Hunting, Cloud Platforms. • Experience in incident response planning and forensic, memory, or malware analysis is a plus. Compensation & Benefits • Projected salary range: $62,700 to $114,950 per year. • Up to 8 paid holidays and minimum 56 hours paid sick time. • IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan eligibility. • Paid family medical leave and disability benefits where applicable.
