Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and imaginative Fiction Writer to contribute to the development of our upcoming "Whistler" franchise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creative writing, a deep understanding of narrative structure, and a proven ability to create engaging characters and storylines that resonate with diverse audiences. As a Fiction Writer, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of writers, producers, and creatives to shape the franchise's overarching narrative and individual story arcs for various media formats.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop original concepts, storylines, and characters for the media franchise that align with the overall vision and goals of the project.

- Write compelling scripts, treatment documents, character bios, and other narrative materials for various formats, including film, television, and interactive media.

- Collaborate closely with producers, directors, and other writers to ensure a cohesive narrative across multiple platforms and formats.

- Conduct research to inform the development of storylines, settings, and character backgrounds, ensuring authenticity and depth in the writing.

- Participate in brainstorming sessions, providing creative insights and feedback to enhance the storytelling process.

- Revise and edit scripts based on feedback from stakeholders, ensuring that all narrative elements align with the franchise's tone and vision.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, audience preferences, and emerging storytelling techniques to ensure the franchise remains relevant and engaging.

- Contribute to the overall branding and marketing strategies by providing narrative content that enhances audience engagement and interest.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing, English, Film, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in fiction writing, scriptwriting, or narrative design for media, with a strong portfolio showcasing original work.
- Proven experience in developing characters and story arcs for various media formats (film, television, video games).
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong command of language.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment, effectively communicating ideas and incorporating feedback.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Passion for storytelling and an understanding of audience engagement strategies.
