Workday Core HCM Functional Lead

Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of the Workday Core HCM module
ā¢ Serve as the primary functional lead for the Workday Core HCM module, including foundational elements such as organizations, supervisory structures, job profiles, positions, locations, and worker data.
ā¢ Act as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on Workday capabilities, best practices, and configuration options.
ā¢ Lead discovery sessions and requirements gathering for new or enhanced HCM processes
ā¢ Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient Workday configurations.
ā¢ Configure business processes (e.g., hire, termination, transfer, job changes) and maintain condition rules and validations.
ā¢ Maintain organizational structures, supervisory organizations, roles, and security groups.
ā¢ Partner with technical and functional teams to ensure seamless integrations with payroll, benefits, recruiting, time tracking, and other systems.
ā¢ Identify process improvement opportunities and propose strategic Workday solutions.
ā¢ Develop functional test cases and perform end-to-end system testing, including regression and UAT support.
ā¢ Ensure data integrity and validate configurations in accordance with HR policies and compliance requirements.
ā¢ Provide training, documentation, and change management support for system users.
ā¢ Support organizational change initiatives related to HCM system enhancements.
ā¢ Monitor Workday releases and manage the adoption of new features within the Core HCM domain.
ā¢ Troubleshoot system issues and respond to service tickets in collaboration with HRIS and IT teams.
ā¢ Maintain data governance and enforce security protocols and audit controls.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
ā¢ Skills-5+ years of experience working with Workday HCM, including at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
ā¢ Proven experience with Workday Core HCM implementations and/or post-production support.
ā¢ In-depth knowledge of Core HCM components: supervisory orgs, positions, job profiles, worker lifecycle, and security.
ā¢ Workday certification in HCM preferred (Workday Pro or Partner Certified).
ā¢ Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
ā¢ Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
ā¢ Experience using Rally Agile tool
ā¢ Expertise and skills configuring supporting Workday Performance, Workday Security, or Workday Benefits experience.
ā¢ Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
ā¢ Detail-oriented with strong documentation and process mapping capabilities
ā¢ Comfortable with change management and training delivery
ā¢ Strong understanding of HR business processes and systems
ā¢ Attention to detail with an ability to manage complex configurations
ā¢ Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
ā¢ Proficient in stakeholder management and communication
ā¢ Familiarity with data privacy, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX)
