WAF Akamai Engineer-Remote/Long Term Contract
Job Description-
Scope:
Work as part of the global Network Security team works alongside the WAF team.
Work with and guide global tech functions to migrate a suite of 5000 hosted apps to WAF. Will role out in phases e.g start off with 100 out of 5000 domain names.
Once migration work is complete, review logs, implement tuning, web blocking etc.
Mapping of IP addresses / FQDNs to services and applications (BA)
Liaising with service owners and / or associated teams to gather relevant application data for WAF migration purposes (BA)
Analysing web behaviour and performance to establish acceptable application thresholds (SME)
Performing policy tuning in accordance with performance baselining (SME)
Transitioning WAF from transparent to enforcement mode (SME)
Data cleansing and validation
Skills / experience required:
Web network security / WAF SME with ability to be hands on.
Experience with Akamai or similar platform e.g radware, Kona site defender etc
SME ... consultative person.
Experience in onboarding web services into WAF (Akamai) platforms in monitoring / transparent mode (SME)
Finding vulnerabilities in WAF logs
Implement best web security practices
