VP of Software Engineering $200000 - $220000 per year | Spring, TX | Remote | Permanent One of our clients in Houston is looking to hire a new Head of Software Engineering! 100% remote ! A bit about us: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Software Engineering to lead our software development team in the medical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large team of full time employees and ensuring the development and delivery of high-quality software products. The position requires a deep understanding of C#, .net, and other software development tools and techniques. The candidate must also have experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. Why join us? • 401k match • great medical benefits with employees 100% covered • salary range of $190-225k • Remote work • Great team culture and low turnover Job Details Responsibilities: • Lead the software development team in the medical industry to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software products • Define and implement software development standards and ensure adherence to them • Manage software development projects from inception to delivery • Review and manage the leadership of the software development team • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software products into the medical industry • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and capabilities • Ensure the software products are tested and meet quality assurance standards • Manage the deployment of software products to Azure and other cloud-based platforms • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the software development industry Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field • 12+ years of Leadership within Software Dev space • Strong experience with C#, .net, Javascript, React, Angular, Ember, RESTful APIs, LAMP stack, PHP, and other software development tools and techniques • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices • Strong leadership skills with experience managing large teams of 50+ FTEs • Strong mentoring and coaching skills to enhance team members' skills and capabilities • Strong experience with quality assurance and testing practices • Experience with Azure and other cloud-based platforms • Certifications in software development and related fields are a plus If you are a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Head of Software Engineering in the medical industry with a passion for leading teams and delivering high-quality software products, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
