Job description: EQPD K-12 Virtual Tutor (Math or Reading)The role:Are you passionate about making a difference in K-12 students’ lives? Looking to secure a position for the 25/26 Academic Year? Join EQPD as a contracted Virtual Academic Tutor, where you’ll deliver high-dosage tutoring to students in an engaging online environment.As a tutor, you’ll build meaningful connections with students, help them develop academic confidence, and foster a growth mindset. We provide a structured certification program, ongoing professional development, and a supportive team to ensure you thrive in your role.Deliverables:
Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions following EQPD’s structured framework
Build strong rapport and connections with students to encourage engagement and academic success
Support students in Reading (1st-9th grade), Math (1st-10th grade), and High School Academic Mentorship
Participate in ongoing paid professional learning to enhance tutoring skills
Tutor in a fully virtual setting - requiring a computer, webcam, microphone, and a reliable internet connection
Tutoring Cycle:
Duration: 2025/2026 Academic Year (September 2025 - August 2026)
Hours vary throughout the duration of the contract
Rolling tutoring start dates throughout the contract
Hours are not guaranteed
Depending on the tutor’s performance, the tutor would be eligible for a contract renewal for the 2026/2027 Academic Year
Requirements and Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or have completed at least 12 college course credits
Strong English language skills
Comfortable troubleshooting technical issues
Complete EQPD certifications (10-15 hours) after acceptance to the program
Computer and Wifi System Requirements
Access to Google Drive, Internet browser software, Email software, Zoom
Access to a computer with a working webcam, microphone, speakers, and reliable internet connection that is necessary for video conferencing (see specific requirements below)
Desktop or Laptop Computer Requirements

Network Requirements

Submit contractor paperwork to the EQPD HR Department
Certification Program: Opens early August 2025
Complete 10-15 hours of EQPD certification program(s)
Qualification: Upon certification, tutors gain access to our tutor portal and communication platform, featuring all available tutoring sessions.
