Sales Support Specialist

IoniaPay is a rapid-growth startup with products already in market, and they are seeking a Sales Support Specialist. This role is responsible for coordinating sales-related activities, ensuring efficient progress across the pipeline, and supporting Business Development in growing accounts and generating new opportunities.ResponsibilitiesMonitor pipeline activity and ensure all new agent, or referral with merchant opportunities are progressing through required stagesFollow up with Business Development to ensure next steps, documentation, and actions are completedIdentify stalled activity or missing items and proactively drive resolutionMaintain visibility into pipeline status and ensure accurate tracking in CRMFollow up with resellers and referral partners to ensure completion of required paperwork and onboarding itemsTrack outstanding requirements and maintain accountability across external partnersEnsure partners have completed all necessary steps to move forward in the processSupport ongoing communication to keep partners engaged and progressingMaintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records across leads, contacts, and pipeline activityEnsure all required fields, notes, and updates are properly capturedPerform regular data hygiene checks to maintain accuracy and consistencyCoordinate onboarding and training sessions for resellers, referral partners, and internal sales team membersMaintain training materials, documentation, and onboarding resourcesEnsure all stakeholders are aligned on current product offerings and updatesGenerate and distribute pipeline reports, activity summaries, and status updatesTrack progress against key milestones and flag risks or delaysCoordinate internal meetings, reviews, and alignment sessionsServe as the central point of coordination across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, and FinanceEnsure all teams are aligned on requirements, timelines, and outstanding itemsSupport operational consistency across onboarding, documentation, and partner requirementsIdentify gaps or inefficiencies in workflow, communication, or executionContribute to development of SOPs, checklists, and tracking systemsSupport improvements in CRM usage, reporting, and operational processesSkills1–3 years of experience in sales support, coordination, operations, or administrative roles, preferably in fintech, SaaS, or paymentsExperience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpotStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple workflows and follow-ups simultaneouslyStrong communication skills with both internal teams and external partnersAbility to drive accountability without direct authorityExperience working with reseller, referral, or partner-based sales modelsFamiliarity with onboarding workflows and documentation trackingExperience supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environmentBenefitsDiscounted medical/dental/visionStock options401(k) matchFlexible vacationStandard holidaysCompany OverviewIoniaPay is redefining merchant payment processing with the only infrastructure that delivers instant direct payments, Zero Risk Processing, and the lowest transaction costs available today.
