Contact List Builder

We are seeking a meticulous and results-driven Contact List Builder to support our business development and marketing teams. In this role, you’ll be responsible for efficiently researching, compiling, and maintaining high-quality contact lists to drive targeted outreach efforts. Your work will be essential in fueling lead-generation operations and ensuring accurate, actionable data is available for sales and marketing channels.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed research to identify and compile contacts aligned with defined parameters (e.g., State, district, school, role, email address, and phone number) using public school district websites.

Extract and verify key data points including:

First Name & Last Name

Email Address (verified to maintain low bounce rates)

Job Title/Role

School and/or district Name & Website

LinkedIn profile URL (when applicable)

Organize and maintain contact lists using tools like Google Sheets with clear, consistent formatting and tagging for easy segmentation and tracking.

Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and outreach teams to align targeting and improve campaign effectiveness.

Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CAN‑SPAM.

Track performance metrics—including number of contacts added, data accuracy, and contribution to outreach success—and continuously improve list quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience in B2B lead generation, list building, or contact research—especially for education technology companies

Proficient use of AI to support research

Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets(filtering, deduping, conditional formatting).

High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately under high volume.

Excellent spoken and written communication skills.

Self-motivated and capable of operating independently or as part of a remote team.

Familiarity with GDPR, CAN‑SPAM, and other relevant data regulations.

Preferred (Optional):

Experience with CRMs or campaign management tools.

Understanding of ideal customer profiles and buyer personas to fine-tune targeting.

Prior experience in remote or freelance positions.

Performance Metrics

Number of qualified and verified leads generated daily, weekly, or monthly (e.g., 500–1,000 contacts/day as seen in high-volume roles).

Data accuracy rate and email deliverability metrics (bounce rate thresholds such as less than 2%).

Speed and efficiency of list production and turnover.

Consistency in formatting, naming conventions, and preparation for outreach workflows.
