DescriptionBinary Defense (BD) is seeking a talented Vice President, Partner Technical Strategy.The mission of the VP, Partner Technical Strategy at Binary Defense is to accelerate revenue growth via the focused development and execution of our go-to-market (GTM) strategy across our partner ecosystem. You will play a strategic role in cultivating key relationships with cutting edge technology companies and ensuring tight GTM alignment between our organizations. Success in this role requires a versatile skill set spanning business, technology, and strategy, coupled with the ability to effectively communicate with C and Executive level Business and IT stakeholders and their teams. This role will also serve as an evangelist for the business which will include extensive customer-facing public events, in collaboration with our strategic partners. This position requires ongoing monitoring of trends and market opportunities, leveraging the gathered insights to create and champion business cases that contribute to the improvement of Binary Defense capabilities. Extensive knowledge across cybersecurity domains is essential, accompanied by refined skills that demonstrate a profound understanding of how technology can meet client needs and generate business value. This role will report directly to the SVP, Strategic Partnerships.Responsibilities/DutiesBuild and drive Channel & Alliances strategy through cross functional collaboration with product, sales, marketing, delivery and more; emphasizing technical alliances, systems integrators, value-added resellers, incident response, managed services providers, advisory, and other channel partnerships that will help to accelerate salesDevelop and execute go-to-market strategies for key partnerships including Palo Alto Networks, Google, and others; evaluate new strategic partners for GTM potentialIdentify and recruit new strategic partners in collaboration with the SVP, Strategic PartnershipsCultivate relationships with senior level leadership at strategic partners and customersDevelop technical enablement content and programs to educate and enable partnersCollaborating cross-organizationally, develop or improve on how we operationalize GTM channel motions (e.g. IR, MSP, GSIs)Collaborate with the sales team, channel partners, and customer success to understand customer needs and devise ways to accelerate sales cyclesDevelop partnership focused thought leadership content and case studies to educate internal and external audiencesEnable internal teams by demonstrating effective pitching of Binary Defense products, emphasizing business value and unique selling pointsWork closely with product team to influence product roadmaps in alignment with key alliances roadmaps, along with field feedback, customer input, and industry trendsStay abreast of industry trends, acting as a cybersecurity thought leader in internal discussions, customer meetings, and public eventsRepresent Binary Defense at industry events with our alliances partnerSupport the sales teams where Alliances and new technologies are a factorBe the technical champion for our Marketplace strategy with Google, AWS & MicrosoftPartner with Product Marketing teams to spread awareness and support pipeline building via customer roundtables, conferences, events, blogs, webinars, and white papersRequirementsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems or ~10+ years of IT sales or solution architecture experience.5-10 years of industry-related experience and 5+ years of experience in a role similar to CTO, CISO, COO, CIO, VP/Dir of Engineering, Operations, Product Development, or Global Solutions10+ years of architecture experience building, consulting or implementing technology.Knowledgeable in the challenges impacting cybersecurity industry and the application of industry-specific use cases.A broad range of experience with technical and design direction that may also include large-scale SIEM implementations, EPP/EDR/XDR/MDR, IR, VA/VM, and public cloud technologies.Familiarity with cybersecurity providers, and adjacent industries such as cyber insurance, and backup and recovery.Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and challenges and how to impact organizational maturity.The ability to travel to customer sites, industry events and other related events as required (up to 50% travel required)About Binary DefenseBinary Defense is a trusted leader in security operations, supporting companies of all sizes to proactively monitor, detect and respond to cyberattacks.
