The KinderCare Learning Companies Accounting team is looking for a great Accounting Specialist to help implement processes and support a fast-paced environment. This 6 month assignment is a great opportunity for anyone pursuing a degree in Accounting! This position will include a rotation through the various aspects of accounting and payroll, including:
Analyzing costs for proper GAAP treatment and company capitalization policies
Assist in preparation of monthly journal entries, reconciliations, & P&L/Balance Sheet Analysis
Analysis of basic Accounts Receivable and Payment transactions and records
Other projects, as needed in Payroll and other Accounting FunctionsQualifications
College student in Accounting program preferred.
Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
Proactive problem solver and troubleshooter.
Detail-oriented.
Eager to learn and a quick learner
Requires logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Requires contact with others - virtual, by phone and face-to-face in a hybrid work environment (remote position, hybrid preferred but not required).
The ability to work and interact in a group or team.
15 - 20 hours a week.
