We are seeking an exceptional UX Designer to help make deliveries easier and more secure for our customers.At Amazon Key, our mission is to streamline access control for building managers, delivery drivers, residents, and guests through service design and IoT device solutions. As disruptors in a fragmented access control landscape, Amazon Key is laying the foundation for a new standard in secure access for delivery drivers and customers alike.Our team is looking for a highly motivated and curious UX Designer with a passion for solving complex problems for an array of driver and customer personas.In particular, we are looking for a candidate who can think big, and is skilled at communicating concepts through compelling storytelling. This candidate should also have advanced knowledge of mobile design systems and interaction patterns, and confidence in running design research and testing efforts. The candidate will work collaboratively with designers, engineers and product managers to understand both customer and business problems, and contribute to elegant design solutions that solve them.Key job responsibilities
As a creative problem solver on the team, you will take time to empathize with customer needs across a varied landscape. As a UX Designer at Amazon Key, you will help craft delightful experiences that reimagine existing processes and bring to life new ideas that drive business goals and customer adoption. You will provide and incorporate meaningful feedback to improve your design solutions and perspectives. You will produce documentation to ensure your designs are well understood by stakeholders and detailed enough for efficient development. You will strive to meet a high bar of design excellence in the work you deliver, and seek feedback from peers, stakeholders and customers by participating in frequent research studies and internal critiques.A day in the life
At Amazon Key, you will balance fast-paced execution work with forward-looking design solutions that scale elegantly as the business grows. You will deliver best-in-class design solutions across multiple proprietary mobile apps including the Ring App, Amazon Flex, internal tools, and third-party apps. You, along with your partner stakeholders, will strive to be a voice for the customer by developing and maintaining customer personas that help the organization empathize with our users.About the team

Our team dynamic is true to the Day One Culture of Amazon, and every day is an opportunity for innovation.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer experience
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe CC, or similarPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps

The base pay for this position ranges from $106,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
