The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a strong, proactive and effective AVP of Financial Management to our Insurance Solutions Financial Planning & Analysis team. In this role, you will prepare, analyze and report on complex financial information that is critical to the success of our Life Solutions and broader Retail Solutions organization. You will ensure that as this business grows it does so in a sustainable and profitable manner and the results of our success are understood and reported accurately.

What you'll be doing


Analyzing business profitability trends to help identify areas of opportunities and develop strategies to maximize results
Ensuring financial results, sales and other key business metrics are recorded and communicated effectively and properly
Supporting the financial planning process where you will project the Life Solutions business into the future, at the segment and product level
Provide subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects
Assisting the quarterly earnings process, including the reporting, analysis and communication of quarterly GAAP and Statutory results, at the segment and product level
Directing/executing approved strategy decisions and contributing to strategy creation
Providing direction on complex financial analysis, including directing the development of sufficient, accurate & reliable complex financial information to support data driven decision making
Identifying, recommending, and implementing opportunities to make complex financial analysis processes more efficient and achieve balance of timeliness and precision
Directing and/or participating in departmental or enterprise wide complex projects assigned by providing stakeholders with actionable and valuable complex financial information to enable decision-making that results in successful outcomes
What we're looking for


10+ Years of experience in financial analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
Confident, comfortable communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrates ability to communicate knowledgeably and credibly with senior management and internal constituents.
Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed, and logical discussions/presentations.
Ability to think critically, analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.
Ability to apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Pay Range: $118,300 - $215,800

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
