Job Summary

The Monitor Tech is responsible for continuous remote cardiac monitoring of patients across multiple hospitals, analyzing and interpreting heart rhythms, communicating with floor staff, and maintaining detailed records. This role requires proficiency in telemetry, computer skills, and the ability to remain calm and organized in a high-stress environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and interpret heart rhythms.
• Build end-of-shift reports within the GE Carescape system.
• Add and discharge patients from the GE Carescape system.
• Communicate with floor staff using desktop phones and iPhone applications.
• Maintain a running call log.
• Monitor a high volume of patients (40+ per tech).
• Maintain calm during stressful situations.
• Cross-train on the GE Carescape system and Cerner Patient Observer as a Virtual Sitter Attendant.

Required Qualifications
• Previous travel experience working in remote monitoring.
• Telemetry competent.
• Ability to pass basic cardiac rhythm test.
• Ability to analyze and interpret heart rhythms.
• Good attendance record.
• Ability to write and understand English.
• Proficient typing skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of how to operate an iPhone.

Preferred Qualifications
• CNA background.
• Cardiac nursing background.
• Medical terminology background.
• ECG-Board Certified.
• Previous GE monitoring experience.

Shift Details
• 12-hour shifts: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Unit huddle at 6:53 PM
• 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks
• 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks
