Job Description of Transport Specialist:
You will be an essential component of UPS's nationwide team as a Part-Time Tractor Trailer Driver. As a Transport Specialist, your role would entail driving a tractor trailer between designated UPS locations or customers, ensuring that packages are delivered efficiently and securely.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Transport Specialist:
Ā Use a large vehicle, such as a tractor trailer, to convey UPS packages on designated paths between company's centers or directly to customers.
Ā Flexibility with your availability is a requirement, as operational demands may entitle working days, nights, and/or weekends.
Ā Uplift all the protocols and guidelines instituted by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and organizational standards, such as passing the DOT medical examination.
Ā Practice UPS's rule on appearance by wearing the uniform given by the enterprise.
Ā Represent oneself as an individual with an unyielding commitment to dependability, responsibility, and a fervid passion for operating large vehicles.
Ā Stay in accordance with U.S. employment eligibility regulations at all times.
Qualifications and Experience of Transport Specialist:
Ā Having a valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) in your home state is a basic necessity.
Ā The requirement for a Doubles/Triples endorsement is based on the location.
Ā The passing of a DOT physical test is crucial for drivers.
Ā A robust feeling of commitment and trustworthiness.
