Title: Senior WordPress + API Developer (US-Based, Ongoing Work, Direct Collaboration)
We are looking for a highly skilled, US-based WordPress developer with strong API integration experience for ongoing work.
This is NOT a basic WordPress role. We need someone who can:
Build and maintain custom plugins (not just themes)
Integrate third-party APIs (OAuth, REST, webhooks)
Handle secure storage of API credentials and tokens
Troubleshoot plugin conflicts and performance issues
Work directly with us (no agencies, no project managers)
Requirements:
US-based and available during business hours
Strong experience with custom WordPress development
Proven API integration work (please provide examples)
Solid understanding of security best practices
Fast response times and clear communication
Nice to have:
Experience with social media APIs
Familiarity with hosting environments (WP Engine preferred)
Performance optimization experience
