The Role - Territory Manager - Lower South Island (Christchurch/Dunedin ideal locations to be based)
This position will be responsible to build and maintain positive relationships and provide a direct collaboration with the Veterinary and Pet Retail channel, servicing clinics and pet stores in the Lower South Island. Depending on your home base, you can expect a structured travel rhythm consisting of one to two regional trips per four-week cycle, typically spanning three to five days to allow for meaningful, high-impact engagement across the territory.
Following the Territory Management Plan, you will act as a clinical & commercial consultant, representing the Hill’s brand through regular on-site visits, professional meetings, and clinical seminars. Your goal is to elevate the standard of patient care by driving the distribution and recommendation of our therapeutic and wellness diets.
You will act as a peer-to-peer consultant, leveraging your clinical knowledge to help veterinary teams integrate nutrition into their standard of care. You’ll be the technical expert who translates complex data into actionable practice growth for your stores & clinics.

The Ideal Candidate has the following skills

The ability to engage in peer-to-peer technical discussions with veterinary health care teams, building trust through evidence-based recommendations.
A natural ability to identify a customer’s needs and provide solutions that benefit the patient, the pet parent, and the clinic/pet store.
A proactive approach to meeting territory targets and a passion for expanding the reach of life changing nutrition.
Outstanding relationship management skills, with the confidence to lead seminars and in clinic training.
Savvy with the Google Suite (or similar) and comfortable using data analytics to guide your territory strategy.

Be given the tools and opportunity grow your territory, optimise distribution and develop strong customer relationships


Attend sales meetings and conferences to connect with your team



What you’ll need

A Bachelor’s Degree. While we value backgrounds in Business or Marketing, candidates with a Veterinary Science degree are highly encouraged to apply, as clinical credibility is important to our approach.
Previous experience in field sales, veterinary industry, FMCG, pharmaceutical company or nutrition company preferred.
Proficient computer skills in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and ability to learn company specific tools & programs
Fluent in English
Valid driver’s license required
