Nordstrom has an opportunity for an apparel Designer with experience in the Women's active category to join the team in support of this temporary assignment. A day in the life… • Supports design leadership in building Seasonal Brand Design Direction for their area of responsibility. • Customer centric – continuous research to understand customer, trends, and shifts in the competitive landscape. • Owns concept & design for their assignment – ensuring it supports Brand Design Direction, Concept, and line plan needs. • Research materials, select fabric and trims & work closely with our print team to bring all elements of textile application to life. • Partners with design leadership to color the line. • Supports design leadership to build and curate all visual tools needed to support seasonal story telling for their assignment / team. • Builds strong, synergistic relationships with all cross functional partners. • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement that pushes innovation and accelerates expected outcomes. You own this if you have… • Bachelor's degree in Design preferred • Minimum 5 years' experience in design industry • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills • Proficiency in Adobe CS (required), MS Office suite and ability to hand-sketch. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. California: $80,000 - $165,000 annually, Colorado: $80,000 - $132,000 annually, Connecticut: $80,000 - $155,000 annually, Hawaii: $80,000 - $132,000 annually, Illinois: $80,000 - $132,000 annually, Maryland: $80,000 - $155,000 annually, Massachusetts $80,000 - $155,000 annually, Minnesota: $80,000 - $132,000 annually, Nevada: $80,000 - $132,000 annually, New Jersey: $80,000 - $155,000 annually, New York: $80,000 - $165,000 annually, Rhode Island: $80,000 - $132,000 annually, Washington: $80,000 - $155,000 annually, Washington D.C.: $80,000 - $155,000 annually This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
