Job Summary:
Fully Remote
2024-2025 Academic Year
1099 Contract Position
Working with students with a variety of disabilities
Details about the caseload will be provided during the interview
Primary Duties:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) customized for students with special needs, in partnership with parents, school administrators, and other relevant professionals.
Utilize a variety of assessment techniques to monitor student progress and adapt instructional methods as needed.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that motivates student participation and engagement.
Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to facilitate effective inclusion and necessary accommodations in mainstream settings.
Employ diverse teaching strategies and resources to address a range of learning styles and needs.
Document and track students progress, behavior, and accomplishments while keeping thorough records and reports.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, involving them in their childs educational journey.
Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and other school-related activities as required.
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Education/Special Education
Active Special Education Teaching License in Ohio
Experience working with special needs students is preferred
A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on the latest research and best practices in special education
Familiarity with online learning environments is a plus
