Position Overview:
Our elementary school in Orange, NJ is seeking a dedicated and licensed Certified School Nurses to join our elementary school team for the 2025ā2026 academic year. These full-time, onsite positions play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Provide daily health services and first aid to students and staff.
ā¢ Manage student health records and ensure compliance with immunization and health screening requirements.
ā¢ Administer medications and develop care plans for students with chronic health conditions.
ā¢ Collaborate with school staff, families, and community providers to support student wellness.
ā¢ Promote a healthy school environment through health education and prevention initiatives.
ā¢ Respond to health emergencies and participate in crisis response planning.
Qualifications:
ā¢ Active NJ Registered Nurse (RN) License
ā¢ Current NJ School Nurse Certification ā REQUIRED
ā¢ Previous school-based nursing experience is required
ā¢ Strong communication, organizational, and assessment skills
ā¢ Ability to work independently while collaborating with school teams
Preferred Traits:
ā¢ Compassionate and student-centered
ā¢ Skilled in managing a broad range of health concerns in a school setting
ā¢ Familiar with health regulations and requirements in New Jersey schools
