Sr. Product Manager, Amazon Freight

Amazon Freight is building a disruptive transportation product with the vision of redefining shipping for its customers. The goal is to develop easy-to-use, reliable and transparent transportation services that beat all existing shipping alternatives for our customers. In doing this, Amazon Freight is deeply studying customer shipping needs and building innovative, market-leading... solutions that will organically attract customers towards our services. To help us succeed in this large endeavor, we are looking for entrepreneurial individuals who will organize, execute and deliver key features to the Amazon Freight product portfolio.

We are looking for a dynamic, self-starting Product Manager to own delivery across features that require integration with processes and technology in business and operations teams. As a Product Manager, you will write and review business cases, develop the product roadmap, document business requirements and own the feature set from design to release. You will work across operations, sales customer service, finance, accounting and technology teams to guide, orchestrate and execute your roadmap. This position requires an ability to strongly communicate business direction, gain trust and project manager across multiples of stakeholders, and be tenacious, paranoid and laser-focused on the delivering the product roadmap. This position will be part of the Worldwide Transportation strategy team, which has global responsibility.

Key job responsibilities
• Write and present business cases (backed by strong research and analysis) in partnership with all stakeholder teams
• Develop product , drive exercises and plan resources for features to be delivered on time
• Write business requirement specifications
• Monitor project execution and ensure that the project delivery is to the appropriate levels of quality and in line with its target date, ensuring the overall integrity within the program
• Be an excellent communicator, curious, highly motivated and effective within distributed teams

Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with end to end product delivery
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience as a product manager or owner
• Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
• Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
