Job Responsibilities:
As a Paraprofessional, you will be responsible for assisting classroom teachers and supporting students with a range of needs. Your duties may include:
Providing one-on-one or small group support to students.
Assisting with classroom management and behavior intervention plans.
Supporting students with special education needs.
Helping students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and math activities.
Assisting with classroom activities, setup, and cleanup.
Collaborating with teachers and staff to implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply. In Massachusetts, Paraprofessionals typically need to meet the following qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or higher preferred).
Experience working with children in an educational setting.
Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Paraprofessional certification or ability to obtain it.
A strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
