Contigo Spanish Learning is seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time Spanish Tutor/Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a native Spanish speaker with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the educational field, such as an assistant, tutor, or teacher. Experience working with children from kindergarten through high school is essential. Responsibilities: • Conduct Spanish lessons in-person and/or online. • Teach in one-on-one or small group sessions. • Create and deliver engaging and effective Spanish language instruction tailored to students' needs. • Comply with the curriculum guidelines and adapt teaching methods to suit individual student requirements. • Provide instruction at students' homes and/or public locations. • Maintain a supportive and encouraging learning environment. Qualifications: • Native Spanish speaker (required) • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field (or a university student with relevant work experience). • Experience working with children from kindergarten to high school. • Reliable transportation and ability to commute to students’ homes throughout the San Gabriel Valley, including South Pasadena, Pasadena, Temple City, Arcadia, and surrounding areas. Secondary coverage includes Anaheim, Inglewood, Long Beach, and Downey. • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and willing to wear a mask while teaching if necessary. • Ability to provide phone numbers for 3 references from current/former employers and 3 personal references. • Ability to commit to at least 5 hours per week. • Ability to work throughout the entire 2024-2025 school year (beginning August 2024 to June 2025).
