SEO Content Coordinator

INNOCEAN Canada is seeking a talented and motivated SEO Content Coordinator to join their Digital Media team. In this role, you will create compelling, search-optimized content for major automotive accounts while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve digital marketing goals. Responsibilities Write high-quality, informative, and engaging content, including blog posts, articles, and other SEO-focused materials Optimize content for target keywords by conducting thorough keyword research to identify relevant terms and integrating them seamlessly throughout the content Optimize content for traditional search engines as well as AI-powered search experiences Structure content for readability and SEO effectiveness, utilizing clear headings, subheadings, bullet points, and internal linking to enhance user experience and facilitate search engine crawling Maintain brand voice and style consistency to ensure content aligns with the company's overall tone and messaging Conduct comprehensive keyword, competitor, and content gap analysis using industry-leading SEO and AI-powered research tools Analyze search intent to understand the underlying motivations of users behind specific keyword searches, enabling tailored content creation Stay abreast of SEO best practices by remaining updated with the latest trends and guidelines from search engines such as Google Integrate basic on-page SEO techniques, including optimizing title tags, meta descriptions, image alt text, and header tags Assist with off-page optimization projects such as link-building Optimize assets, which involves maintaining Google My Business listings and implementing SEO updates for new product launches Consistently meet deadlines and deliver high-quality content on time and within assigned word counts Partner closely with the SEO team to align content with overall search strategy, editorial standards, and AI-search readiness Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand and compliance standards Monitor and analyze content performance using key metrics such as organic traffic, rankings, engagement, conversions, and AI visibility indicators; provide data-informed optimization recommendations Collaborate with web dev, content, design, social media, paid media, and account service to help optimize content and performance Input and format content within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines Implement on-page SEO elements directly within the CMS, including meta titles, meta descriptions, header tags, image alt text, page content, and URL structures Conduct quality assurance checks pre- and post-publication to ensure content renders correctly, is fully optimized, and aligns with SEO best practices Skills 1-2 years of experience in content writing and SEO, preferably within an agency setting University or College degree Proficiency in content writing and optimization, demonstrating the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content Knowledge of modern SEO best practices, including proficiency in keyword research, on-page optimization, and content strategy Familiarity with relevant tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, and web analytics tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console Familiarity with AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and emerging GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) principles Basic understanding of content management systems (CMS) Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills Basic proficiency in interpreting SEO data and identifying areas for improvement Knowledge of the media industry and how advertising agencies operate is an asset Experience in the Auto industry is a bonus, but the right attitude is more important; extensive training will be provided Benefits Full benefits coverage Flex spending account RRSPs Confidential individual counseling Paid personal days Learning and development fund Coaching and mentorship in your day-to-day to fuel your growth Company Overview Innocean Canada is an advertising agency that offers media, branding, and public relations services.
