Senior Salesforce CPQ and Billing Analyst

What You'll Do:

Avalara is looking for Senior Salesforce CPQ and Billing Analyst. You will manage and evolve Avalara's end-to-end quote-to-cash engine, turning complex pricing and billing scenarios into efficient workflows that accelerate revenue recognition. Partnering with Sales, Finance, and Product, you will help lead roadmap definition, hands-on CPQ/Billing configuration, and data-driven optimizations that cut cycle times and error rates. Reporting to the Manager of Business Technology.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• You will practice an AI-first approach in all of your daily tasks.
• You will oversee and improve business automations related to the configuration, pricing, quoting, ordering, contracting, renewals, amendments, invoicing and collections workflows within Salesforce CPQ and Billing to align with our goals and enhance sales efficiency.
• You will be a primary contact for operations and leaders in product, sales, and finance with a focus initially on the billing and collections teams.
• You will create comprehensive User Stories within JIRA, encompassing problem statements, trigger points, testing scenarios, and technical recommendations specific to Salesforce CPQ and Salesforce Billing enhancements or modifications.
• You will build and launch declarative solutions within Salesforce CPQ modules, ensuring awareness of downstream possible effects for connected systems.
• You will guide UAT sessions with customers, demonstrating an understanding of business process flows within Salesforce CPQ and Salesforce Billing.

What You'll Need to be Successful:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 8 years work experience as a Salesforce CPQ and Billing Analyst.
• Experience leading Salesforce implementation projects from launch to completion, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• In-depth understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities including custom objects, all types of flows, apex, validation rules, and Lightning experience.
• Experience using different AI tools to improve your output and efficiency

Pay Range Details

The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Colorado $122,300-$197,500 (annually)

Washington $122,300-$216,300 (annually)

California $122,300-$236,900 (annually)

NYC $135,100-$236,900 (annually)

The pay range above is the general base pay range for you in the state listed. Your actual salary/wage may be based on several factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, market and business considerations. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on company performance, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and your role.
