Experienced Senior Data Engineer for Remote Data Management and ETL/ELT Pipeline Development – Cloud-Based Data Solutions and Information Architecture

Job Overview We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Engineer to design and execute ETL/ELT data pipelines, develop and implement database mapping/tables/views, and build batch processes using Apache Airflow. As a key member of our Information Designing group, you will collaborate with our Studios or Project Technology teams to gather data requirements, develop and test ETL/ELT data pipelines, and design and implement database schema/tables/views across multiple environments. Key Responsibilities Design and execute ETL/ELT data pipelines using various technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, Apache Airflow, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, develop and test data pipelines, and implement database schema/tables/views Work with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar Participate in driving best practices around data engineering software development processes Utilize a range of technologies, including SQL, Python, Gitlab, Apache Airflow, AWS S3, and social databases Develop and maintain cloud-based data pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role 2+ years of experience with SQL, Python, Gitlab, Apache Airflow, AWS S3, and social databases 2+ years of experience handling a cloud platform 2+ years of experience working with data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases Experience utilizing Apache Airflow, Databricks, and other big data technologies Preferred Qualifications To stand out as a candidate, you will need: Experience with Apache Airflow, Gitlab, Snowflake, and Scene A graduate degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field Experience in the streaming, media, or digital advertising industry Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess: Strong technical skills in data engineering, including ETL/ELT pipeline development, database design, and big data technologies Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data issues and develop creative solutions Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure data quality and integrity Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
