Senior Product Manager - OpenShift Logging and Observability

About the JobRed Hat is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Hybrid Platforms team in Boston, MA. In this role, you'll be responsible for the OpenShift logging stack, which includes both Vector and Loki-based stacks shipped with customer clusters, as well as a hosted Observability solution operated by Red Hat. You’ll work closely with our Engineering and Product teams to build and deliver these solutions to market. You will plan and deliver product content for new releases and launches of our offerings, prioritize and communicate product requirements to guide development, support the field team in advanced sales opportunities, perform competitive reviews and analyses, and work with partners. You'll actively contribute to the overall company strategy and work closely with the Engineering, Marketing, Support, Sales, and Field teams to ensure the success of our offerings. You will also engage with open-source communities that support our container initiatives, including Kubernetes, other Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) projects, such as Loki, Vector, Fluentd, and Elasticsearch, among others.What You Will DoCollect and document input from Red Hat OpenShift users, customers, community members, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs; develop a strategy and roadmap for our offeringsResearch competitive solutions, both commercial and do-it-yourself alternatives, documenting their relative strengths and weaknesses to establish competitive positioning and collect input for new releasesPrioritize and document requirements, epics, and user stories for new releases of our offeringsGuide major enhancements of our offerings by working cross-functionally with core teams across our Engineering team and the upstream open-source communityWork with the OpenShift Engineering team and the overall product team to manage releases and updates of our offerings and bring new Red Hat OpenShift solutions to marketWork with our Sales teams to respond to customer inquiries; deliver customer presentations and demos, and support the overall sales processSupport sales and marketing activities, including creating presentations, blogs, demos, and other technical collateral for our offeringsReview and provide feedback on the documentation for our offeringsWhat You Will Bring5+ years of enterprise software industry experience working in product management, technical marketing, solutions engineering, or a similar technical product or customer-facing roleLinux skills and experience with Linux container technologies and KubernetesPrevious experience bringing to market, building, or otherwise working with cloud observability solutions to collect and analyze data from applications and infrastructure. Understanding of advanced cloud platform management concepts (metrics, logs, tracing events, alerting, diagnosis, resolution, visualization)Ability to work as part of a team; experience working with product marketing or guiding positioning and go-to-market strategies for mission-critical software offeringsExperience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), IBM Cloud or similar cloud or application management solutionsBachelor's or graduate degree or equivalent experience, preferably in computer science, engineering, or a related disciplineProven track record of motivating and leading others without having direct authority over themPrior success in shaping cross-offering integrations is a big plusEvangelist with proven written and verbal communication skillsWillingness to travel up to 25%The following are considered a plus:Previous experience working with and guiding data science or data analytics teams.Familiarity with cloud operations management platforms such as Google Cloud Stackdriver, Amazon CloudWatch, VMWare Tanzu, or Azure Operations Management Suite Previous community involvement with Kubernetes, KubeVirt, OpenStack, oVirt, or other open-source projects Experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Virtualization, VMware, or other enterprise-level infrastructure solutionsWorking knowledge of the CNCF ecosystem of open-source solutionsPrior experience with the agile development processFamiliarity with Jira or a similar toolThe salary range for this position is $133,650.00 - $220,680.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay TransparencyRed Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
