Senior Java PL/SQL Developer/AI

Description Client is seeking a Senior level technical or business area expert in one or more disciplines called upon to address a particular task or environment need. As a technical expert, provides advice and assistance in state-the-art software/hardware solutions involving hardware of various capacities, multiple operating environments, database management systems specialized software, data communications facilitator and protocols including Value Added Networks, fourth generation technologies, and complex software tools or packages. As a business expert, works with senior client officials to identify enterprise improvement goals, assess organizational and process effectiveness, and implement change strategies. Designs technical and business solutions, mentors and trains client staff, and oversees implementation. Possesses a high level of diverse technical and industry experience related to studying and analyzing system’s needs, systems development, and systems process analysis, design and re- engineering. Skilled and experience related to business management, systems engineering, operations research, and management engineering. Typically, has specialization in a particular technology or business application. Keeps abreast of technological developments and industry trends. Responsibilities • Create and maintain web pages using Oracle MOD PL/SQL packages • Maintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirements. • Extensive Oracle database experience • Modify existing batches to incorporate new functionalities. • UNIX Shell scripting • Analyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans. • Perform code reviews and bug fixing. • Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packages. • Comply with all required standards and processes and devise approaches to ensure compliance across the team. • Provide complete technical and maintenance support to the systems. • Run the assigned projects solo as well as working as a team. • Provide round-the-clock support as needed for the assigned tasks. • Experience using AI-assisted development tools for enhanced productivity Qualifications • Implementing and Deploying Cloud Applications: Experience deploying python applications in cloud service production environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), potentially leveraging containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). • Understanding of Software Engineering Best Practices: Experience in applying principles like version control (Git), writing clear and testable code, participating in code reviews, and using continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. • Knowledge of Data Science Best Practices: Demonstrated understanding and implementation of data science solutions such as data pipelining, feature engineering, or creation of Machine Learning Models. • Familiarity with Cloud-based Data Science Services: Proficiency using managed AI/ML services provided by cloud platforms to streamline development, deployment, and management of data science applications. Required Skills And Experience • 8 plus years of experience in IT • 8 plus years of PL/SQL development experience • UNIX, MS Windows Server experience • Hands-on experience with Oracle, Java (Spring Framework), PL/SQL, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, JSON, SQL Developer, JDeveloper, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and Linux. • Must have expertise in creating and maintaining complex PL/SQL code/packages spanning multiple schemas. • Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolve issues or identify new requirements to be addressed by the team • Understanding and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle • Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations • Exhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problems • Work well independently and within a team • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Excellent time management skills • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge • Works on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program, and performs all functional duties independently; • Oversees the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Education • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, with 10+ years (or commensurate experience) Additional Provisions • Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check. • Once a candidate’s resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process. • If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance. • All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card). • Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years. • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years.
