As Sr. Director of Product Management for SolarWinds Observability, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution of our SaaS observability products. From your position in product management, you will serve as the "GM" of your portfolio, with accountability for roadmap, market fit, week-to-week management of sales and marketing funnel, quarterly and annual revenue growth, and customer success. You'll lead a team of PMs and collaborate closely with engineering, sales, customer success, and marketing to deliver best-in-class solutions and ARR growth for Observability solutions. Your strategic thinking and operational discipline will ensure we deliver high-value capabilities that meet the evolving needs of ITOPS, DevOps, developers, and IT leaders across industries.
What You'll Do
• Define and execute the product strategy for the SolarWinds Observability business line, such as logs and applications.
• Act as "GM" of the part of the Observability portfolio you are responsible for, while directly owning market analysis, product roadmap, pricing, and competitive differentiation
• Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success to drive go-to-market strategies, revenue growth, and customer retention
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small, high-performing team of product managers
• Drive alignment with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, marketing, and support
• Nurture a deep understanding of the market, including customer needs, ecosystem trends, and technical innovation
• Engage directly with customers, analysts, partners, the company Board of Directors, and operational partners to gather feedback, validate strategy, and evangelize product vision
• Ensure strong technical integration with SolarWinds' Observability platform and seamless user experiences
What We're Looking For
• 10+ years of B2B product management experience
• Strong technical background in the Observability space
• Proven track record of driving product-market fit, revenue growth, sales and marketing partnerships, and successful product launches
• Experience with Observability, Monitoring, hyperscaler tools
• Strong business acumen with the ability to make data-informed decisions on product investments and prioritization
• Demonstrated success leading and scaling product teams in a fast-paced enterprise software environment
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
• Passion for solving real customer problems with pragmatic, scalable solutions
Nice to Have
• Experience withthe cloud-observability space
• Familiarity with modern observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• Background in application performance management (APM) or full-stack monitoring
• MBA or equivalent experience managing full product P&L
