ONSITE - 3 DAYS A WEEK (MANDATORY - TORONTO)
ā¢ Strong hands-on development in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs
ā¢ Deep Kafka experience - understands fundamentals, event-driven architecture, and practical implementation
ā¢ Experience with Apache Flink streaming - able to explain core concepts such as sources, sinks, and data streams
ā¢ Spark or distributed data processing exposure considered strong asset
ā¢ Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and fault tolerance
ā¢ Database knowledge with ability to discuss optimization strategies (indexes, query tuning, performance)
ā¢ Experience with monitoring, observability, and performance tuning (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or similar)
ā¢ Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Git workflows)
ā¢ Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
ā¢ Comfortable with trunk-based development, proper tagging, structured releases, and documentation practices
ā¢ Targeting mid-level / Level II engineers who are hands-on builders (not architects or purely conceptual)
ā¢ Strong communication skills - clear, articulate, confident explaining technical concepts
ā¢ Engaged, collaborative problem-solver who participates actively in whiteboarding and technical discussions
ā¢ Reliable and committed candidate willing to attend onsite interviews and work hybrid (3 days onsite Toronto)
ā¢ Must pass full background verification and demonstrate stable employment and education history
