About the Position
We're looking for a seasoned telecom professional to join our team as a Senior Carrier Relationship Manager. In this role, you will utilize your industry expertise to establish and nurture relationships with carriers and vendors, driving business growth and expansion. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and maintaining business relationships with internet service providers, IP transit vendors, and data center operators
Proactively identifying sourcing opportunities for data center, network services, and partnerships to meet network expansion requirements
Collaborating with the Network Leadership Team to define, develop, and deliver on an integrated strategy to support short-term and long-term goals
Managing network services procurement and ecosystem investment, including ongoing management of network operating costs
Creating and implementing effective procurement strategies for major networking equipment and accessories
Developing and presenting weekly and monthly P&L management reports
Expanding vendor channels for different networking equipment and accessories, including due diligence and cost negotiation
Identifying and resolving operational problems in a timely manner
Ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures
Traveling to visit vendors as needed
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese
A background in procurement, network interconnection strategy, network planning, or internet peering in the telecom, data center, AI, or cloud industry
A degree in business administration or a related field
At least 8 years of related working experience in a similar role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills
Organizational, detail-oriented, and responsible approach to work
Nice-to-Haves
While not essential, the following skills and experience would be advantageous:
Experience working in a remote team environment
Familiarity with procurement software and tools
Knowledge of industry trends and developments
