Role description:
We are looking for a Senior Architect with experience in designing and delivering small to complex Mixed Use and Residential projects from start to finish for Arcadis Living practice in the UK. This is a great opportunity for a passionate and creative mind to take on dynamic and fast-paced projects. The successful candidate will be an out-of-the-box thinker with hands-on experience going through the full life cycle of an architectural project from preliminary concept design through to detailed design, and production of contract and permit drawings which will include client facing responsibilities & managing staff.
Role accountabilities:

Lead and manage complex projects and project teams
Assisting with project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships, presenting design solutions, addressing client concerns, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Contribute to and enhance a culture of design excellence for the Living practice area at Arcadis Architecture + Urbanism.
Assist with preparing Business Development (BD) proposals in bidding for new work
Mentoring and guiding less experienced architects, reviewing their work, and delegating tasks to ensure project quality and timely completion.
Working effectively with other disciplines to coordinate design elements and resolve conflicts
Ensuring compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and project specifications, reviewing technical drawings and details for accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum University Degree in Architecture
Minimum 10 years of related experience
Registered with the ARB (UK) as an Architect
Must have strong hands-on experience with Revit; some experience with AutoCAD and SketchUp is also expected.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and time management skills
Strong knowledge on Building Regulations, Building Safety Act and relevant British Standards for Mixed Use and Residential development.
Strong knowledge of building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry associated standards
Good understanding of Accessibility design standards
Great critical thinking skills with the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
Strong client relationship management skills
Demonstrated ability to lead design teams and manage project deliverables
